SUBJECT: Progress Report 1: Transition from high school to college

Since I started high school, I have been on the pathway to graduate with the rest of my class.

WORK COMPLETED (September 2009 - February 2013)
I have successfully completed my college applications and have applied for scholarships. I have completed all of the mandatory credits and I am on track to graduate.

Academics
I have completed all of my academic credits for three and a half years of high school. I took the SAT twice and received a final score of 1630.

Extra Curricular
I participated in nine years of Girls Scouts of America. Because of my involvement, I have also participated in community service and service projects all over San Diego.

Employment
I currently have a year and a half of work experience as a supply management temp at Entropic Communications. In addition, I have another part time job as a merchant working concerts at Viejas Sports Arena and events at Qualcomm Stadium.

College Preparation
I have applied and been accepted to 5 colleges. I have also done college visits, college for a weekend sleepovers, and scholarship interviews.

CURRENTLY UNDERWAY
I have five classes to complete before graduation to receive my diploma. I also need to make a decision on which college I would like to attend starting in the fall of 2013. I have been accepted to San Diego Christian College, Azusa Pacific University, Northern Arizona University, Concordia University at Irvine, and University of Portland. My number one choice is SDCC because of the close-knit community and the small class size. It is also a Christian college and will help me with my faith.

TO BE COMPLETED
I have papers to fill out and sign for the college of my choice. I also need to put down a deposit for that school. I also need to hear back from the Doctor Henry Morris Leadership (DHML) Scholarship. I applied and received an invite to the interview. Once I hear back, I will know how much money I will be receiving and can make a final decision about the school. I also need to decide whether or not I will be living on campus at these colleges. If I go to SDCC, I have the option of living at home or on campus. I would love the opportunity to experience dorm life, but it may not be in the budget.

PROBLEMS AND PROJECTIONS
I am waiting to hear back from the DHML scholarship. If I do not receive enough money, I could potentially need to apply to Grossmont Community College and wait to attend my number one school.
